The DC15 Ball was the first vacuum cleaner that used a ball to replace its fixed wheels. Simply replacing the wheels with a ball was not difficult, but the ball has to be large enough to roll freely, this then creates a space problem for the motor and other components. The solotion was to place these heavy parts inside the ball to lower the vacuums centre of gravity improving the cleaners manoeuvrability even further. 182 patents and patent applications applied to the original Dyson Ball. The dc15 is no longer available but the dyson ball vacuum can be purchased as the dc24 ball or dc25 ball models

The compact and lightweight Dyson dc24 Ball vacuum cleaner rides on a ball for greater manoeuvrability, steers smoothly with a turn of the wrist. With 120 air watts of power and Dyson Root Cyclone technology that forces the dust to spin out of the air and into the bin. The Ball dc24 All Floors has powerful bristles to remove dirt and pet hair from carpets but with fingertip brush control can be turned off to protect delicate rugs and hard floors.

The Dyson Ball DC25 All Floors vacuum cleaner is designed for every floor type. It rides on a ball for greater manoeuvrability and steers smoothly and easly with a just a twist of the wrist. Comes with a combination tool, a debris nozzle that converts into a brush tool for dusting. The stair tool is designed for removing dust and dirt from stairs and stair carpets which combined with the quick-release wand that extends for cleaning stair carpets and hard-to-reach places makes this difficult job so much quicker and easier. The 220 air watts of power along with the washable HEPA filter ensure only clean air is expelled, ideal for allergy sufferers.

Dyson dc25 ball animal

The dc25 animal has Dyson Ball technology combined with the Animal Mini turbine head to remove pet hair and dirt from confined spaces such as upholstery, stairs and the car. Supplied with a combination tool, the debris nozzle that converts to a brush tool for dusting. The Mini turbine head for cleaning pet hairs and the stair tool for removing dirt from stairs and stair carpets. The Dyson Ball DC25 Animal has been given a Which? Best Buy Award.
